This morning I was going back through some tweets about Cal's radio show last night, and noticed one from Jon Hale of the Courier Journal; that Cal had met with all but two players. He said he "couldn't get ahold of two of them", I took this not to mean the Seniors, but rather two underclassmen he had not been able to discuss their future with. This seems odd on several levels. Is there really so much frustration that two players would not answer a phone call from Cal? It would also seem unlikely those two players would be really considering a return.

So who do you think the two are? He specifically mentioned conversations with: Sharpe, Toppin, Collins, and Hoskins.

Oh I just assumed the guy that "left town" was Sharpe. lol. That is good he talked to Toppin, he needs to be kissing his *** to get him back after not playing him much the other night (what a joke).

I would be surprised if Brooks is back and he knows the fans do not want him back or like him for personal reasons beyond basketball (not me, not OP, just "some" of our fans do not like him for personal reasons). I think Oscar and Tyty are gone as well, Sharpe is a given...Wheeler is supposedly coming back, but again, just like Brooks a lot of fans do not like him so he may end up moving on as well.

The ironic thing is if they both move on and we do not sign better replacements the same fans that hate them will ***** at Calipari for not retaining them later IMO. It will be fascinating to read as usual. I think Wheeler will stay though.

And this right here is exactly why Cal keeps saying things like "take it out on me, not the players." You have people here saying comments like that from Cal are gaslighting the fanbase (someone called it "DISGUSTING" in a thread last night) but he says it because sentiment like this exists within the fanbase and it has an effect on the players.

Might not see it on this board specifically, but I'm sure things like Twitter and direct messages to the players on social media tell a different story.

Quit trying to read into his stupid cryptic comments....he's part con artist.

1. He protects players to a fault with silly injury reports
2. His never ending players first mantra is nauseating and has been since before 2015/Wisconsin.
3. But now he drops a cryptic comment on can't get a hold of some dudes....what the hell does that even mean....and why make it public.

In the end, he'll either get the roster to win or he won't (and he surely has not for a while now) and he'll be judged by the outcome. All the rest is noise that doesn't matter for coach con.

They were in hiding. Took new identities, will show up on U6 campus next season
