I just haven't had the time to keep up with recruiting. Can someone give me a quick rundown of Boston's recruitment? Was he really that strong of a Duke lean? Is it possible Jalen Johnson scared him off?

Their fans look silly on this one.

Cal beat K for Boston, regardless of the LeBron Machinery working its back channel magic.

They've beaten us for plenty of guys lately so it's kind of pathetic that they're downplaying the fact that K absolutely wanted Boston and had gone all-in on him.

But Duke Nation is filled with haggish and hollow elitism, so their display here is not particularly surprising.

We didn't steal him just like Johnson wasn't stolen from us . There are 30 big time players or so in every class ( and 2-3 super elites Green , Todd and Cunningham are the 3 this year IMO ) so UK will get 4-6 , Duke will get 3-5 , Oregon will get a few UCLA will get a few , Memphis will get a few and so on. Plenty of studs to go around.

Sour grapes. Dook is such a propaganda-driven school. They are definitely the Hilter's of college BB. They act like they are so much farther along sayng UK has one lone recruit LOL. All they have more than us is an ACL tore up Roach that we did really seem to pull back on after the injury. I didn't see any reports with us watching him or trying to reach out for a long time before he picked Dook. Dook is such posers with their fake Brotherhood that none of their players talk about or care about once they leave there. Unlike our guys who praise UK and Cal forever and return often and actual are like family. Like someone else said, Piss on Dook. K is washed up. He couldn't even make the FF last year with those players and a ton of bad calls in the Tourney. Should have gone down to UCF. I believe Dook struggles this year and ages the rat a little extra. Times almost up!

They were serious enough that a couple of their insiders made crystal ball picks for him to Duke after they offered. If they pulled back from recruiting him it’s because they knew he was a lost cause.

No ifs, ands, or buts. They went for it & got beat.

Duke site had an article about landing Johnson over UK. It read as Duke being the God of basketball.

I don't know.

Posturing this recruitment as a steal from Duke screams little brother mentality.

The kid came here because he wants to get better and succeed in the league while playing for a perrenial championship level program.

Sounds more like sour grapes "we didn't really want him" to me.

From everything I've read, he's been a UK lean from the start. Duke was a player, but never the favorite.
