Took a LOT of folks applying pressure and Kylin was certainly part of that. Just glad it seems we can hopefully put the issue behind us now. Heck, MS can even have a bowl game now if it wants which seems weird.

The dude has got a backbone and I respect that. He’s a thorn in the side of our state sometimes (especially with the state flag) but at least he’s not a flaming liberal.

He was on the wrong side of history with this vote though.

So I wonder what Kylin's next "ME, ME, ME" announcement will be? Maybe he won't like the uniform combination on a certain Saturday, or maybe he won't like playing in the early time slot so he doesn't get to be seen in prime time. Sorry, I don't suffer prima donna's well.

I agree totally with changing the flag, and I respect anyone's right to speak their mind on any subject, but trying to strong arm an entire state wasn't the right way to approach the problem. I don't think it will play well in the NFL either. Expressing an opinion is one thing; trying to force that opinion on an issue you have no control over is not the right approach.

I criticized him last year, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt for the past two years. If I had his skills and had to run the plays that were called, I would have been bitching too. This is a big year for him and I hope he plays to his potential.

I don't think it was any single one thing but rather a culmination things should get credit & among those are Kylin.

What I'm interested see is if Kylin be a consistent leader. Can he do it every day? Can he actually be a leader of a football team rather than just a leader of a flag issue?

That being said, I can't wait to see him run out of the tunnel at DWS with the Stennis Flag or whatever state symbol he wants to use.

He had a campaign staffer go take pics of a bedridden nursing home patient. He has no backbone, he's just an *******.

From just a PR perspective, I hope our comms staff is on the phone with GMA right now to book Kylin's interview with Robin Roberts for Monday morning. Put him in his MSU polo and scream to every national outlet he's available to talk.

As an aside, very proud of my state. Even thought his needed to be done years ago and there's much more to be done, this is a big step forward for perception and economically.

Yes, continue to feed Hill’s ego. He was so instrumental in moving race relations forward.******

Dude is an opportunistic drama queen. He never mentioned the flag until the latest social justice movement targeted it, and he’s lived in MS for approximately 20 years. Yeah.... Kylin Hill..... A true pioneer...... *****

He turned on MSU when we needed his loyalty and leadership most. Bottom line....Kylin Hill could give a rat's *** about MSU .

How exactly did he turn on MSU? The university would never host another baseball regional if that flag stayed. I presume by your username that means something to you. He had the support of his coaches and AD who traveled to Jackson to speak to the same cause. Industry that would not consider Mississippi because of the flag may now consider Mississippi as a home, and every job in Mississippi helps Mississippi State. If your opinion is based simply on the one season of football he has left to play, then I think that's somewhat selfish and shortsighted. Kylin may have his faults as a man and on the way he presents himself on social media, but he took a stand on an issue and can forevermore say that he had a part in effecting positive change for the state Mississippi.

Sadly, “taking a stand” today is tweeting a statement, threat, etc. which can’t really be validated. Do you honestly think he would have ridden the pine this season in support of a flag change? That’s a question no one can answer, but I choose to believe he would have done what shines the light brightest on him -playing football. He does love the center of attention.....

He's brought a very positive light on State and Mississippi with his stand, so I'm proud as **** of him.

Are you actually naive enough to think Hill gives a damn about MSU hosting regionals , about industry considering Mississippi , about causing a positive change for dear ole Mississippi ? Hill is an attention ***** plain and simple.

Kylin took a jarring hit in the UK game right before halftime last fall. He was helped off the field to the locker room. I was doubtful he could go in the 2nd half. He came out and gave his all in 2nd half.

Also, in the Egg Bowl, he put his pride aside when OM was stuffing him down on the 2 yard line, he told Shrader to pull it for the keeper and the TD. That's unselfish and a team player.

Whether some of you like it or not Kylin taking a stand and our university and fans standing behind him brought some very positive publicity our way. ESPN and others see him as a catalyst for change regardless of his reasons. Those of you pushing the negative side of things are showing how Mississippi has continuously wound up on the wrong side of history.
