--Not a lot of talent on the roster. No one near being an impact player. No matter how you cut it it not good: Guards--JMike has not improved which is a very bad thing;, TF over his head, his minutes should be as hoped-for offensive spark off the bench. Lino and Kaden are, I think the better pair but that's not saying much. (They're all MUCH TOO SHORT--ALL FOUR!) In the right offense Zrno could be a nice shooting guard but who would trust him as a ball handler and he's not in the right offense; Forwards: With DG's stock going down, we have length and we have athletes but not basketball players. Badalau is too often in a position where he has to create which is not his game. But, I say asa young frosh feed him minutes; Center: utterly miserable. If not at the hoop Ogbole can't hit the rim, Fall can't hit the backboard.
--I think the coaching has been abyssmal on both ends of the floor. I was gaining a bit of optimism after ND and UNLV, but that has disappeared. Sure we run an offense but it sucks. We virtually never get an easy shot: can't complete a high screen and roll, rarely get a good look from three. Zrno has to initiate his shooting motion before the ball is even in his hands. Defense is equally bad. Drives to the rim as though you had the '65 Packers blocking for them; wide open threes on ball reversals; 6'4' guards with clear mid-range jumpers over ot shorter guarts; plenty of run outs.
