Just watching him at the Southern Baptist Convention this weekend. He's certainly different than Trump. Different demeanor, different vibe. Devout...serene, almost stoic. Can't imagine him "tweeting" or boasting on himself like Trump often does. Still, he exudes confidence, is supremely reverent & humble, and I believe is a decent Man...but very different from Trump.

Got me to thinking, how will the Left attack him? What names will they call him? What will he be accused of? Holding seances with Spirits? You just know they're coming after his Faith, he'll be mocked probably worse than Trump's infidelity for that. He doesn't sleep with Porn Stars and won't be left alone in a room with another Woman other than his Wife, so will they accuse him of being sterile? Impotent? Lacking virility? Gay even?

I think he'll get challenged by a radical reformist like Rand Paul or possibly on the Right by a Freedom Caucus member like Jim Jordan. Perhaps even from a former fellow Governor or Senator Ted Cruz. However, if this economy remains strong, we get serious reductions in both Government spending and the debt, school choice or other reforms in Government discretionary spending, and even reforms on some entitlement spending, he will have a solid foundation to both run on and build on.

Oh noooooo OM1. If you all hate Trump for his brand of Conservatism you're going to absolutely loathe Pence. This Dude is about as devout as they come, and he is NOT afraid to speak it to anyone. I listen to him...he makes me feel like I need to brush up on my Catechism! Sheesh!!!!!

But he's a good Man..a decent Man. He'll serve the country well and honorably as President...that is unless the Left smears him as some of Religious nut bar!

How many times do I need to tell you I hate DJT the man, the village idiot. It isn't Trumps politics that bother me. Pence is not my cup of tea politically but I think he is reasonable, not an idiot, and surely more Presidential. I have said this 100 times since the election. Maybe more. I once signed every post Pence 17.

I can live with different political views. I can't take the endless lies, intentional division, the inability to rationally connect two thoughts.

I understand completely.......but don't you think that obama lied (if you like your doctor...etc).. and..VERY intentionally divided us (the Michael Brown situation).....so from a conservative perspective obama was the devil....why were we castigated for calling him out when most liberals think Trump is fair game to say anything about...what's the difference?

Your hatred for Trump is irrational and politically based. Pence is politically to the Right of Trump and I predict if he succeeds Trump you and the Left will find a way to despise him equally because of his Politics AND Religion.

Agree on personality. We want a certain degree of entertainment in our politicians now-a-days. However I disagree on substance. A nation spinning out of control culturally and morally might require a steady hand and mind at the wheel just to keep us from going totally off course and into an iceberg of deparavity!

I think it depends on who challenges him on the Right once Trump is re elected. A charsismatic genuine figure could beat him...another Mitt Romney or John McCain (the past two previous establishnent offerings) could not. Not today's Republican party. We'll see.
