That’s about right. NBA players are putting out plans for an NCAA like tournament. PGA Tour may have majors in 4 out of 6 weeks. NHL May crown a champion w/o playoffs. EPL is about to torpedo the rest of their season and call things good. College athletics is done until August.
I’ve watched the Harry Potter movies 10 times in the last 4 days, The Blind Side is on Freeform for the 1000th time.
Dang. They did start the first vaccine test on a person today if that helps your pessimism.
Yeah, but it is just a Phase I trial. Even if it seems to not kill anyone(essentially the goal of the first phase) there are many more rounds to go, each taking at least a month or two. And it might not work, and then we have to start over. And then we have to mass produce it to the point that we can distribute 300 million of them. We might get lucky, and lots of very smart people are working on it, but it is not likely to come before 2021.
But I do hope we get sports back before that and the immediate crisis subsides.
Some of us won’t be able to get vaccinated if they develop one. Because of my medical history I can’t take the flu vaccine and I suspect it will be the same with other viral vaccines.
Our governor doesn’t vaccinate his kids. Just a reminder of that.
And he takes them out to crowded restaurants to test Darwin’s “survival of the fittest” theory.
