Utah isn’t great, so if we lose to them, we will struggle with the next two. However, I’m hoping for a win, some momentum, and then a sweep. That would erase the SIU loss.

I slightly disagree.

While Utah isn’t great, road games are always tough, and I don’t think it has any bearing on how we will play at home against osu and k state. I have a funny feeling that we are going 3-0 on these and really coming together. Gimme that koolaid!

K State is 314th in the country on three point shots. Great matchup for us and our zone. Utah and OSU, while not as good of teams, are worst matchups. As I said in the Alley...

Wonder if we get AAC crews for those two home games? They've treated us right thus far in our OOC games.

Utah gave up 90 in a loss to Hawaii and didn't appear to be very competitive in losses to NW and Minn. I say we steal one on the road tomorrow.
We probably lose to Okie State in a mostly orange Don Rey and then come back and upset a top 10 KState team. WLW

I'm going with WWW because I want to put my blue and gold goggles back on.

Also, I think we win the K-State game because it is, likely, the only game this entire season I will get to see in person. And I'm good luck!!11

I really fear three Ls here. Until I see us beat a good team, I'm a skeptic. I had this a LWL in my preseason predictions, but OSU is stronger than I expected, Utah weaker, and K State as expected.

I don't know what to predict. This team is so Jekyll and Hyde. Play well and hold your own against a top 5 team in Nevada and blow disinterested technicolor chunks against SIU. However, they know these are P5 teams so they will likely come out intense and focused so we could easily go WWW.

Or

We start slow in all 3 games and play well the 2nd halves and either squeak one out or lose close ones.

If Gragg negotiated for us, I’ll predict our ref crews for the next 3 games will be PAC12, BIG XII, & BIG XII.

I’d be happy with 2 wins. Always tough on the road. OSU beat a top 20 team (LSU) by 13 at LSU. Much tougher than some indicated. KSU, undefeated and ranked in the top 20.

As CTT stated, according to KenPom, we’re not expected to win any, so I’ll take 2 of 3, while hoping for a sweep.

By the way, UTAH has 3 7-footers and 2 players 6-9, although not their best players but they could get our bigs in foul trouble.

LSU is over rated, so the OSU win over them really isn't that impressive imo, OSU will be the easiest of the 3 imo

The OSU - LSU game was a neutral site game. Not sure how good LSU is. They are very young like OSU. They should have beat Florida State (who I think is pretty good).

I think the OSU game will be a tougher game than K State simply due to matchups. Basketball is about matchups.

Who do you give the advantage to with us and OSU? I have not kept up with them this year.

So hard to tell much after six or so games. I will know more after this weekend. OSU is currently the 5th best three point shooting team in the country. That would give me concern if I were Haith given his tendency to play a soft zone. TU's advantage imo is Jeffries and the fact this game in played on TU's home floor. Very young teams like OSU tend to be inconsistent and often struggle on the road.

Let's see how TU looks this weekend at Utah and OSU looks tonight at Minny. Minny beat Utah a few weeks ago by 9 so these two games should give us some reference.

Thankfully Averette is gone, because he single-handedly beat us last year (while only scoring 6 points) by denying Taplin the ball and bothering him all night. I think we take OSU at home.

All that size could be a problem. Igbanu is TU's leading scorer and it could be tough for him to get points. Outside shooting will be important. Taplin needs another all conference performance with Jeffries, Korita, and Joiner scoring above average. I like Taplin's savy to help with the on the road environment. This is truly a one at a time situation.

TU is more athletic than OSU. Watching them get manhandled by Minn. I think K we will get OSU this year

Attendance predictions for Wednesday/Saturday?

A lot of tickets still available for Wednesday. Even more for Saturday.

Weds game will be packed. The weather looks dicey for Saturday. Expect attendance to be dicey as well.

TU had a nice promotion on the front page of today's Tulsa World about the two games btw.

There are at least 2,000-2,500 tickets still available for Wednesday. That's a lot to sell in 2 days.

Was hoping the ad campaign in today's paper would help those sales. I think the last minute sales will be mainly OSU fans. They're currently pretty enamored with Boynton.
