Ok we ( Schiano lovers got what we wanted) have Greg Schiano as our new coach
How will we define success will it be wins and losses
Will it be how much more money RU takes in over the yrs
Will it be the type of players we turn out in the future
Will it be based on not being a doormat anymore
Will it be teams will actually respect us and fear us
Will it be just fun to go to a game and play smash mouth football
I say it will be all of the above!
I think nunzio gave us a taste against penn state but with the better players in the future we win that game!
For me I will be patient for what the future brings because the last 7 yrs have been off the charts bad..

One way I would define success is simply to go into every game knowing you have a good chance and having a program that makes people proud on and off the field.

If he makes the right moves with the coaching staff and has enough money to keep them, Rutgers becomes a top 20 program. There are only 4-5 states that produce the talent of NJ. And they have a number of other D1 programs. NJ has one D1 program and that's Rutgers. Unite the state, get half of the top 30 kids, fill in with Fl or some other guys and it's a great program.
And I thin Schiano knows that better than anyone else.

Coming from where this **** show has been, I'll take 6-6 next year, then 7,8 and 9 win seasons every 5 years, with NEVER dropping below that 6-6 mark again.

Why aim so low? I'll be satisfied with 9 wins the next 2 seasons combined, especially if we minimize blowouts (I'm sure there will still be a few). Really want to see 6+ wins starting in year 3 and then we have to hope a little bit that one or more of the big 3 (OSU/UM/PSU) in the East starts to falter a bit. It's highly unusual to have the level of success all 3 have had at the same time for several years and I doubt it continues.
