Surely we will move it to Thursday. No need in totally destroying the field especially when you still will have 2 home games after that and hopefully some home playoff games. But they haven’t called me for my opinion for some reason 😂
You could always go to the Andrews High School Athletics Facebook page and give your opinion in the comments under the schedule for this week asked for or not. If nothing else you could at least ask them if they have any plans to move the game and maybe they'll reply.

I was told yesterday that the decision will be made today. The forecast has changed to the rain moving in Saturday instead of Friday.

You and me think alike. I follow Mitchell Football page on Facebook. Lol. I know all the coaches and Athletic Director but I don’t want to bother them with my petty concerns. I have full confidence in whatever they choose to do. A rainy game will hinder Hayesville passing game but could affect both teams with turnovers. My main concern would be how bad the field would be tore up after a possible torhelicane. Im prepared no matter what. I will be there. Keep my family in your prayers. My son is a Deputy Sheriff in Central Florida right in the center of the path of Hurricane. He will be working throughout for many days. My grand babies and daughter in law will ride it out with family members with them. Pleas pray for them and all others in Florida

The Weather channel further west has changed some like 10% less but for Friday night they still have Andrews @ 70%.
Glad they changed the Mitchell -Draughn it went from 90% to 100% in Valdese.

Well as far as the field you're right playing in a heavy rain could really mess up a natural grass field plus like I've meationed really reduce people coming to the game and the gate money.
But I've was just thinking the same thing about Florida just saw a report in Tampa Bay and I thought here we are worried about moving football games and these poor folks in Florida trying to prepare for a hurricane not to mention the poor folks on the islands it will hit first and Puerto Rico that just had one hit them.
But yes prayers for them all and prayers for your family there 🙏🙏🙏

Looking at the local weather it appears we would have been just fine waiting and playing Friday night. It's showing nothing really getting here till after midnight except a little wind.

Oh well, better to err on the side of caution.
The more west the slower it will hit, the weather channel does till show 90% chance Friday night in Bryson City but the actual hours stop @ 2pm on my app right now showing 24% at that time so like you say could come after the game.
But some games definitely made the right decision like Mitchell @ Draughn in Valdese
according to the Weather channel right now Thursday 7pm 64° 10 pm 57° 7mph wind 0% chance of rain .
Friday night 100% chance of rain heavy at times 10-20 mph wind showing 66% at 2pm so I'd say at the game time it would have definitely been raining possibly real hard.

Believe there's some games still scheduled for tonight that folks in a few hours will regret that decision. Wonder if any of the 45 scheduled for tonight might yet reschedule for Monday.
