Brian Merritt should be looked at by Pikiell. He is a John Lucas guy who got two 4star guys to Arizona State. He's connected with the younger generations because of all these kids who have come through the Lucas camps throughout the years. He was one of Lucas top guys with his basketball stuff on the youth levels. Contract not renewed at Arizona State kinda shady that his contract wasn't renewed since Thon Maker has decided to go pro. He was the reason Arizona State was even in the running for Maker because of his relationship.

You sound crazy. He was the lead recruiter on their other 2 four-star kids. One who is top 50 I believe. It's not his fault Maker's handler decided the pro route instead of college. He was already a 5th year guy in HS.

ASU took a shot because of his Lucas ties and let him go because he didn't produce the recruits they thought he would and his DUI made it easy to do.
If he was a big asset for Hurley in recruiting basketball talent for ASU, DUI or not he's still be on Hurley's staff
Rutgers has a recruiter like Merritt with AAU connections in Shoes and Brian Merritt might not be an upgrade over Greg “ Shoes” Vetrone.
