Georgia took 0 from the portal last season and has 0 leaving so far this year. Kirby may have completed the Death Star. It looks like the gig is up for Jimbo. Bama number surprises me and so does Auburn ( in completely opposite ways).

Yes. Bama is the anomaly. Maybe not making the playoffs ruffled some feathers. Not sure.

The prospect of playing for a national title is still a strong draw. I haven't looked at Alabama's list, but I suspect it's a bunch of 4* and 5* prospects who were willing to forego some playing time in exchange for knowing the team would play for championships. When that's no longer on the table . . .

Most players who aren't playing think they should be playing. But at least when they are winning, they have to admit that the coaches' plan is working. When programs like A&M and Florida have bad seasons, 2nd and 3rd string players start to lose confidence in the coaches' plan and in the coaches themselves. The transfer portal and new transfer rules create a panicked and frenzied atmosphere among these discontented players.
