Piss on Pope's opinion on this. He deserves nothing. He did nothing. And now his team is about to put BBN out of our misery this season.
He'll get his third year, and then we'll get to send him back to a midmajor school, never to be seen again.
It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he uses that as an excuse next week for fatigue.
I remember when Cal would complain about the SEC tournament being in consecutive days. Now we have a jackass complaining about being fatigued over 3-4 days rest. What does he want, one game a week? Give me a break!
Nobody had more control over avoiding that scenario than Pope. I’m upset with his piss poor first halves that got us here. Don’t whine about the consequences.

His presser yesterday he was asked this question. His response was it’s just one game, that’s what we are focusing on. Just one game. Not one game at a time mind you, just one game. He will probably try and lose so he doesn’t have to play two games in 2 days. Hard to fathom what kind of lineups we might possibly see against Mizzou on day two. Heck, Horn and Tow probably start.

Probably. That’s a 3-4 hour bus ride. I will say those CAN suck. But yeah it’s not that far for young dudes.
No idea, but the team should have to take the Greyhound bus with “Pope Word Salad” being served the whole trip. These boys are too comfortable playing only halves of games.

This, 1000% this. Exactly what I tell my UK friends. I just don't get it. The only thing I can come up with is this, maybe Pitino stayed on his *** so hard with defense that when he became a HC he just said "**** it, I'm not putting my teams through that hell, we're just gonna score" lol

Pope talks out of both sides of his mouth just like Cal did. Earlier this year, Pope said he supports going to a 40 game schedule in the near future. And now, because things didn't go our way this year, he's using fatigue as an excuse for his teams poor showings. Well genius, add another 9 games to your schedule and you better figure out how to better condition your players or we'll lose 20 games a year.
He has pretty much forfeited the last 2 games in Bridgestone.
So it’s not 100% he even shows up Wednesday.
They need to jog to Nashville. Maybe they will be in shape by the time they get there.

Yes, he did. However, he never was in a role were he had to play 40 minutes a game. He wasn't a 40 minute a game guy in the NBA. He played short stretches of the game and watched from the sidelines most of the time. I am not saying he could not play, I am saying that he was not a guy that had to play through fatigue night after night. He got plenty of rest during games.
This is what I don't get. I didn't see him play back then, I was too young, but from what I have read he was pretty tough when he played. How is he so soft now? Did raising four girls make him soft as charmin? I just don't know how a quarter of the way through the season he didn't realize "wow my positive coaching style isn't working at all time to go full Pitino."
Flying is a hassle too, but I doubt they even go inside the terminal. Bus to tarmac, tarmac to hotel
