My apologies if this is already posted here, but I don't see it. Politi writes about the send-off Mack deserves tonight, and I think he did a nice job with it. I know many of you are disinclined to give NJ.com clicks, but consider making an exception in this case. I'm no fan of Politi, and I know I have some kinship here in that regard, but ...

Myles Mack deserves a long standing ovation

I will be there and have had no doubt that it will be a long ovation for Myles and Kadeem, as well as Malik and Zurich. But my guess is Myles will get the lion's share, which I have no problem with.

The Carino article had some quotes from Rice and an interesting quote from Jack

I actually do. Kone and Jack deserve all the same ovation. This year there has been a huge double standard with Mack and Jack. Quite frankly I have had enough with this sticking it out and staying with the program theme.

Unfortunately, I have to miss tonight - recovering from bout with flu. If I were there Mack, Jack and Kone would all be getting my hearty applause.

The sad reality is there is a long list of mens basketball players who graduated and never experienced the joy of even playing in a NIT game ,no less a NCAA game.Mack came to Rutgers after experiencing great success at St.Anthony which was followed by futility at the college level. The lack of attention by the athletic department for decades has made the program lack relevance and recruiting top tier recruits a impossible job.Yes, there are plenty of complementary type players but history has shown they simply were not good enough for the Big East,AAC and now the B1G.The only thing that continues to change is the number of years without one NCAA bid.I wish all the seniors best wishes as they move on with their life experiences.
