I think that the grief that Politi receives is definitely undeserved. He has written many positive columns and, overall, The Ledger coverage has improved. Maybe in the past criticism was deserved. But not these days.

I dont think Rutgers fans are jealous that he shows attention to St Peter's. We are actually hoping he covers them full time from now on and leave covering Rutgers to someone else

Respectfully disagree. Politi called Flood and Ash **** when this board still believed in them and we hated him for it. He’s closer to the situations than we are, so he sees things before they play out. When Rutgers did the right thing and hired Schiano he praised them. The man holds a mirror up to Piscataway, and when we wish we disagreed with him we take it as harsh. I think he’s been consistent.
