This is where talent takes over. Michigan has it. We are still developing it. A couple more 4 stars like Young and Mathis would be immensely helpful against a team like Michigan.

Watch this game again and just watch Geo. Without his play and almost anyone else in his place this was a 5-10 point win today - EASY!

Remember arguing last year Geo was a below average PG in the Big Ten. Took a lot of abuse - hah!

We still have no shooters. You see them pass the ball around the perimeter and there is no threat. You can slack off 5 feet and not worry about it.

that's the game story--had to be the worst shooting performance of the season for RU

disappointed with not adjusting to their pick n' roll though
Yet we still would have won if we just laid off Simpson and made him beat us. Instead we had Myles hedge out as far as he can and get beat on dunks and wide open 3s all game long. It was insanity that was the game plan in the first place. The fact that we never adjusted was shocking. Inexcusably bad coaching from Pike. Disappointing since it's so simple.

If this is a one game flat dead stinker then it is what it is. But if we're seeing this trend towards global lethargy then there's a problem.

well if you go to our 2 previous home games we had severe offensive funks and it showed up again today..that is something to watch out for...its 3 in a row where the offense is like crap

Hedging with our center resulted in too many dunks for their center. Surprised no other team was really able exploit it before today. We needed to make an adjustment and did not. Kudos to Howard for figuring it out.

Worst game since December 3 against Pitt. But we still only lost by 6 points.

The thing is, EVERY team in this conference has put up MULTIPLE stinkers in league play, and everyone has gotten blown out at least once. Our worst loss all year is by 12 points at MSU, a game we were “in” deep into the 2nd half.

This UMich game was our “stinker.” Just disappointing that it was in a neutral site game at MSG in our backyard with 10,000 RU fans supporting us.

Yes suprisingly Howard outcoached him...also there were points in the game where the wrong guys were shooting the ball. However its not Pikes fault that Harper and Geo didnt show up
Whenever a rutgers team loses in your mind they were out coached. 100% of the time. This loss was our team not being ready for prime time. We had 40 more shots. This was on the players. We played like ****.

he was outcoached because they ran the same friggin play all first half....RU played reallly good D in the last 10minutes so Pike adjusted but RU was abused on defense in the first half and into the 2nd half as well

and i also agree, they played like ****, especially when they couldnt gather themselves in crunch time given another shot to win,

We took SO many ****** shots off the dribble. We could probably count with 1 hand how many shots Michigan took off the dribble.

Putting the ball in Caleb's hands at the top of the key is INSANE. I love his shot but he ain't taking ANYONE off the dribble. We put our ourselves in position where it makes it unlikely that we'll be successful.

We also started forcing contested 3's too early at the end.

that’s why outshooting a team by 30 means almost nothing when you’re taking bad shots

In retrospect, Howard clearly watched RU’s last 5 games or so and realized our players arent coached on how to defend simple pick and rolls and instead our bigs aggressively double every screen leaving one player open. They exposed us, badly. And i expect many other teams to do the same.

The good thing? It is such a simple fix, can literally be fixed in 2 sentences/one breath.

Bad as we played & shot, we had a chance to tie in the final minute. We win easily by double digits at RU
