From what I’ve read...he’s a great rebounder with nice post moves. Needs to work on his shot from eight feet and out as well as his free throws. He will get serious minutes next season.

Has some interesting stats.

55% from the field
49% Free throws

Averages 13 points and 10 rebounds

One game with 14 rebounds and 7 turnovers
One game with 17 rebounds and 6 turnovers

Idlet, Bennett, Ramsdell, or Magnay comparisons ?

He’s not quite as thick as Magnay but I think he might be a good recent comparison.

We have guys that can hit from 8 feet out, we need guys who can block shots, clear the boards and put back misses. If he can do that anything else is gravy.

They all have three years.
Thanks, I didn't remember that about Hewitt. Guess he redshirted for UC Davis.

I think I remember something being a little funky bout Barnes redshirting though. Seems like he played in a game or something like that early in the season this year. Hope he didn't give up a year of playing, and still have the NCAA to thank for losing eligibility.

Sounds a lot like Bennett. I think he hit 2 FTs in his entire career here that mattered and missed too many that could have won or tied games.

What I worry about with some who is that bad at FTs is the automatic hack the second he touches the ball late in tight games. He might be like Roberson where you can’t play him late in games

He needs to shoot free throws 24/7 during the offseason. If he could just bring it up to 60%+...

Pauley Pavillion. Those mattered.
Those are the 2 I am referring to.

The missed ones in the Connie & Mack Center vs New Mexico had a significant impact on not being an NCAA tourney team that year
