The table is set!

WVU beats Oklahoma and Texas beats Kansas.

Oklahoma, WVU and Texas are all tied for first at 7-2.

In the mini-season involving only the three first-place teams, WVU is 2-0, Texas is 1-1 and Oklahoma is 1-1. The head-to-head tiebreaker to meet WVU goes to Texas.

WVU and Texas play for the Big 12 championship while the Sooners sob and watch on TV!!!!

And Oklahoma State, which beat the Mountaineers AND the Longhorns, watch at home while ranked ahead of only Kansas in the Big 12 standings. Crazy world, huh?

Did you notice that NO Big 12 team won its game by more than 15 points on Saturday. What a dogfight/catfight every-game conference, huh?

Oklahoma 7-1 10-1

West Virginia 6-2 8-2

Texas 6-2 8-3

I wouldn't make anything out of Oklahoma playing Kansas.

OU is not where they were last year at this point.

But....

WV is going to need to win that game in an ugly style.
Kyler Murray is difficult to stop because you can't blitz him.
Unless WV finds a bunch of 4.2 and 4.3 players on their roster Murray will outrun them or his WRs will outrun WVs defense.

The way this season has gone in the Big 12, with next-to-last Oklahoma State beating WVU and Texas and only 1 other team, and WVU and Texas maybe playing for the Big 12 title, trying to figure out what's going to happen is like trying to solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded. Just have a monkey throw darts at Big 12 names. It will be just as accurate. Maybe even more accurate! No wonder I love the Big 12!

Beat Oklahoma and then beat Texas again to win the Big 12 title!

Yep............the table is set. The Warez family is going with the standing rib roast in lieu of the traditional turkey. I can hardly wait for the Friday Night Lights. Warez

What bowl does the 4th place team go to? Cause ISU owns the tie breaker and we finish 4th after the loss to OU.

One thing for sure about old big red font is he is a dreamer...and the same professional, expert, high paid "analysis" who continually told us WVU was going to be 12-1 (with the help of some mythical 12th regular season game) and squash the rest of the mere mortals in the Big 12-2=10. We could just as easy end up 4th unfortunately. Just hope the team plays both halves on Friday...and the coaches coach both halves.

Hope it’s -15 wind chill and the whole state runs out of propane like we did against Miami several years ago. Maybe then...................

Will Grier gives WV a puncher's chance.
Ask Iowa St if they wish they had a puncher's chance last night.

If Grier is on he can beat anyone.
That pass he made on the last drive was a perfect pass between three defenders with the WR on a dead run.

The problem is, our OC gets something in his head, like running the ball, and can’t change game plans or make adjustments in mid game.

Last night was a perfect example. We were hell bent on running the ball in the second half. With only 42 seconds left in the game, we had no choice but to pass it and moved the ball 61 yards in 40 seconds. And had the PI call been made on the last play where Sills got mugged...who knows.

Well, to be fair, they didn't call pass interference on anyone last night. Not us or them. Both of us got away with it numerous times.

Still, some people think that we have to score on every possession. We took at least 6 points off the board by not kicking. Not saying that things were perfect, not by any stretch, but our defense gave up 45 points. Let me write that again... 45 points. To a 5-5 squad. After giving up only 14 in the first half. 31 second half points.

If we'd lost this game 25-21, I'd be more inclined to agree more with you. Blame should have been more on the offense like it should have been versus ISU. But against ISU, we still only lost by 2 scores even while being outplayed in nearly every facet of the game.

But last night? Scored 41 points ourselves, against what was once of the worst defenses in the B12, should have scored at least 6 more, and that STILL wasn't enough. The responsible party here, or better yet, the MORE responsible party here is Gibson. Atrocious in the second half. Never made and adjustment. Never took a chance or even gambled when it was so obvious Stevie Wonder riding by on a fast horse could have seen the beating we were taking.
