Penn State hammered #3 Michigan tonight. Kerklivet upset Parris at 285. Ugh.

Haven’t been very impressed with Michigan this year. Don’t get the hype.

PSU is going to be very tough to beat.

How about this for next year?...

184: Montalvo & Haas compete for the spot.

157: Wyatt comes back for 1 more year (teammates with Cutter). Williams redshirts.

149: Voinovich, Mastro & Anthony Ferrari compete for the spot.

141: A rejuvenated G comes back for 1 more year and drops to 141. Young redshirts.

Agree/Disagree vs PSU:

OSU should be favored to win

125
149
157
165
197

133 would be 51/49 RBY.

It doesn’t seem like we redshirt guys much after they’ve been in the lineup.

I agree. Starocci was gassing pretty hard last night. Hopefully Plott turns into his rival. Dustin against Kemerer will tell us a lot. Hopefully him and Sheets are figuring out how to not give up the legs so much.

South Dakota State upset Mizzou earlier today. Tanner Sloan also upset Rocky Elam. Sounds like the Missour wrestlers gas easily.

Kindig & Joe Smith did, but you're right it doesn't happen a lot.

I'm just trying to figure out a lineup that beats PSU at Nationals. They pull out all the stops. Not only did they get a transfer in Dean after targeting Griffith, Wick & Suriano - they even pulled 2 guys out of retirement for 1 semester (Hildebrandt & Berge). Berge was on another D1 team's coaching staff in the middle of the season.

I say get Boo to come back @ 149 for 1 semester. Roll out G/Boo/Wyatt for 141-157.

I’m talking more so from a point scoring standpoint at nationals.

PSU has Hildebrant now at 125 who finished 4th and the NCAA’s. I would make him the slight favorite for now (I do think Mastro can compete and potential win that matchup).

PSU would be heavy favorites at 141 and HWY and solid favorites at 174 and 184.

They at this point would be a slight favorite at 133 (yuck).

OSU would be heavy favorites at 165. We would be solid favorites at 157 and maybe 197 (favorite regardless) I think we would be slight favorites at 149.

It would be close from a dual standpoint with bonus being a significant factor IMO.

Having Boo back would be cool but I think he has a full time job now.

Hilderbrant doesn’t look like he will be in the title hunt. Wouldn’t surprise me if he underperforms.
RBY is a finalist.
Nick Lee has missed a lot of matches this year.
149 and 157 need them to not score.
Berge is up a weight. Cam Amine didn’t take a shot for 7 minutes.
I think Starocci is susceptible and could get knocked off.
Brooks is tough.
Max Dean could have easily lost last night. Brucki took him down twice then gassed. I didn’t see anything that makes me think he can go with AJ.
Kervliet looked like a finalist, but he is injury prone.
As we saw with Steven Schmidt, Spencer Lee, the Michigan 157 pounder last night, and Suriano in GIA, things can change in a hurry.
