How about you just ignore it yourself? This place needs an "ignore thread" feature
Gee, I hadn't thought of that, but since there was no indication it was a political post in the subject, I didn't know to. How about putting me on ignore? How about you just ignore it yourself?
It said clearly - "On the Charlie Kirk killing"Gee, I hadn't thought of that, but since there was no indication it was a political post in the subject, I didn't know to. How about putting me on ignore?
It wasn’t a Political post. It was about one of our own with a positive message about life.Gee, I hadn't thought of that, but since there was no indication it was a political post in the subject, I didn't know to. How about putting me on ignore?
What was political about what he said???Gee, I hadn't thought of that, but since there was no indication it was a political post in the subject, I didn't know to. How about putting me on ignore?

The fact that that was your response to that clip… man what a sad world right nowThis place needs an "ignore thread" feature
My stomach dropped to the floor after watching the full clip of him getting shot on social media. Such a horrific way to go, doesn’t matter who you are. Talk about absolutely traumatizing for those seeing it happen at the event… I wouldn’t be the same if I was front row.I disagreed (strongly in many cases) with most of Charlie Kirk’s positions and I certainly did not see him as a unifying force in this country. Yes, I realize that I’m likely in the minority around here.
However, any decent human being should be absolutely mortified by what happened yesterday. My heart hurts for his family and loved ones, just as it does for anyone who is a victim of violence. It’s awful. And I appreciate Pat’s comments.

Yep, on social media we are seeing everything and feeling nothing as a society. Not a good trajectoryMy stomach dropped to the floor after watching the full clip of him getting shot on social media. I’m not usually one for censorship but they need to remove the video from social media pages and anywhere… his kids (one and three years old) don’t need to grow up and see that one day on social media.
It’s a sad and scary world we live in.
Already isSocial media will be the ruination of our society…

How stupid are you?Gee, I hadn't thought of that, but since there was no indication it was a political post in the subject, I didn't know to. How about putting me on ignore?

We still have the ignore feature.Personally I'm glad there's no more "ignore" feature on this board. Don't like someone or something someone says? Don't read them then!
Duh????

Yeah, like what a concept huh?![]()
What is political about not fn killing each other?Gee, I hadn't thought of that, but since there was no indication it was a political post in the subject, I didn't know to. How about putting me on ignore?
I'm not going to tell you what to watch and not watch but that video was not political. I'm sorry you took it as political. But its a good message. This place needs an "ignore thread" feature
dont let the few outweigh the many. The fact that that was your response to that clip… man what a sad world right now
Good points, Solid. Assassinating a guy for expressing opinions you don’t like. We’ve got some really, really sick fvcks in this country. Not assassinating people you disagree with is not a Republican thing. It’s a decent human being thing.I disagreed (strongly in many cases) with most of Charlie Kirk’s positions and I certainly did not see him as a unifying force in this country. Yes, I realize that I’m likely in the minority around here.

Really? I don't see it, at least not where it used to be? I just use my personal "ignore" feature with my mouse! We still have the ignore feature.
So it turns out the guy was a terminally online nut job.
The bullet casing writings were all from online memes. Two referenced a video game. One just said " if you read this you are gay."
Understanding what all this means requires you to understand the language the terminally online use. Someone wrote a good article on it entitled "Charlie Kirk was killed by a meme."

So what have we all learned when we instantly assumed a motive, rationale, etc?
That's right, class, we should wait for the information to all come out before we try to make sense of things.
SMDH. For the most part this thread was going pretty good until you posted that article.
Good attempt by Pat though.
There will be a trial. The facts are going to come out. Lots of people will watch.
Curious to know, what about it offended you?
It looks like just about everyone got this wrong. I assumed it was going to be a left wing radical, too. I didn't offer an opinion until I got to see actual evidence released, but I made the same assumption everyone else did.
Known right wing provocateur gunned down assassination style in a public place. I get the arrival at the assumption. And then the later commentary about political violence by folks like Pat.
But maybe that's not what it was. It's starting to look that way. And you might be right, too, maybe they'll uncover something new.
The killing was abhorrent and completely inexcusable, very sad and this is coming from a lib
Idk where this country is going and it makes me extremely disappointed
