Paps gets the L against NYY

you always have to have the team that the casual fan follows- first it was the A's (as far back as I remember), then the Braves, and now the Red Sox.</p>
the bandwagon red sox fan is probably the most hated person in my book. i've been accused of being a bandwagon yankees fan because i live in mississippi. what those fake-*** bean eaters don't know is that i've been a yankees fan as far back as i can remember.rambis i heard that the yanks could possibly go after randy wolfe or paul byrd after the chances to get cc were shot , a solid reliever, or another bat

I just grew up hating the Yankees, similar to my hatred for Notre Dame football. Paps is the MSU connection and I like watching him pitch, but by my hatred for the Yankees doesn't make me a Red Sox fan unless Boston is playing NY.

Definitely, hatfield. Donny Baseball has always been my all-time favorite ballplayer. In the long run Sabbathia going to the Brew crew can work out very well for the Yanks, but I really wanted to land him after Wang went down. Joba looked impressive last night until he started missing up in the zone. Gardner also had an impressive series. I hope he's one that Cashman is able to hang on to.
Joba will get better with every start. He will be the ace of the staff in the future, and I am still not sold on Gardner yet. he strikes out entirely to much and now has 3 hits in his first 21 at bats. We will see what happens though. I hope he can get it going. The guy has some serious speed
Yeah i agree with Joba. Stamina is his big obstacle right now, and maybe coming up with something off-speed but that's just my opinion. Gardner impressed me because he struck out a good bit, but he has a good swing and approach at the plate. The more big league pitching he sees, the better off he'll be. He got robbed of 2 base hits that I know of this weekend. Didn't back down to Paps either. He had one hell of an ab to deliver the gw hit. Also covers a lot of ground in the outfield, but I don't know much about his arm. I heard Girardi say Saturday that Gardner only had 1 hit, but all but 2 of his at-bat's were quality ab's.
I know. It's hard to comprehend. What terrible thing happened top you 25 years ago that would have been so bad? Mattingly is actually the only Yankee I have ever slightly liked. I had a nice collection of his cards along with about 100 Wade Boggs(who was my favorite ever before he went to the darkside, and rode that damn horse around Yankee stadium like a *****), and Mike "The Gator" Greenwell who could probably have beaten the Yankees by himself back then.
Oh ok. I saw where they flashed up some stat from him in the minor leagues, but I couldn't catch what it was about. A pleasant surprise so far has been Farnesworth's turnaround. The bullpen isn't near where it was with Stanton, Nelson, and that bunch, but one more solid reliever would really help the rotation out when the bats go through those spells of not being able to score much.
Before you talk about how ***** Boggs looked riding around Yankee Stadium on a horse, look no further that last year's ALCS to see a ***** in true form. Papelbon looked like the captain of a ship filled with *** pirates doing the gayest dance known to man. Just another example of bush leaguery from a group that's recently found success after 80 years of being shoulder blade 17'ed by the Yankees.

Wow, yeah the Yankees lockerroom is a huge gay orgy. That was the best comeback I've ever heard. So not only did your 8th grade football lockerroom humor prove to be as cool as a handjob on a honeymoon, but your comparison is questionable at best. If Boggs would've played for the Sox and done this after the Series, would it've been just as gay? It's not Boggs' fault he came to the Yankees to be a winner once in his career. If he would've done that with the Sox, I would've thought it was gay for all of 10 minutes at the most. Boggs was one of those guys that was hard not to like. Played hard everyday without much fanfare. Hell I liked him when he was with the Sox. And just because he's not afraid of dancing, it doesn't make his dance any less *****.
Settle down douche. I didn't actually mean I think Boggs is gay. It was a figure of speach. Boggs is, in fact deathly afraid of horses. It's not his fault he came to the Yankees to be a winner? That makes no sense. Who's fault was it? Fault is usually synonymous with something negative, and I'm pretty sure winning the world series is positive. Don't take things so literal. Who said anything about the Yankees having a huge gay orgy? Your words not mine.
Ok *******, I never insinuated that Boggs was gay either. Nor is paps. Just his dance. After the '96 Series Bob Costas made it clear to the world that Boggs was afraid of horses. Many apologies for saying that Boggs obviously wasn't going to win the Series with a Red Sock, so he went to the Yanks. Again it was a figure of "speach," I didn't mean for it to be taken literally. And the gay orgy thing was obviously sarcasm. The socks are what, 3 or 4 games ahead of the Yankees right now? And they've won 2 Series' since the Yankees' last win. You can let the vein in your forehead return back to normal now, buddy.
Yeah I know. What do you think the Yanks will/should do with the starting rotation until Wang is healthy? Apparently there's something Cashman sees in Ponson, but he's never impressed me. My preference would be to go pick up Byrd, and then Wolfe if that doesn't pan out. Either could be a definite plus for an off-season trade.
