Paper tickets?

My source for tickets said they requested electronic tickets but received paper tickets. Anyone else have this happen? Do they even still offer paper tickets? Does it default to paper tickets if you don't elect digital? I'm confused how this would have happened.

They do indeed still offer them. We still get them since a family member doesn't trust electronic ones. You have to pay extra for printed so that would be strange that there was a mixup.

This might be the last year for paper, which is what I get and pay an extra $10/ticket for. Dannen seems pretty hardcore about saving money through technology as far as digital tickets and no cash concessions. It will be interesting to see how the latter works in the stands. When the kid tosses me my Runza am I supposed to toss my phone down to him so he can access my digital wallet?

No paper tickets is a shame because for instance the tickets this year have Memorial Stadium pictured in the 50s, 60s. 70s, etc. Makes the stub I'll be keeping sort of a keepsake even though I'll throw them in a drawer and probably never look at them again.

I know people who are going to straight freak when they eliminate paper tickets. I suppose you buy everything at concessions.

Mostly....Runza and diet Pepsi. Once in a great while I'll splurge and buy a Vals when the kids comes by in the stands.
I did a terrible job of saying what I meant. What I meant to say is everyone will have to buy any food/beverage items at concessions. No more kids walking the stairs bringing it to you.

Dannen can resign tomorrow if this is the case. At least let the kids carry cash.

I always request paper tickets as I give tickets to family, friends and co-workers and I prefer to hand them paper tickets. We were forced to have electronic tickets for men's basketball this season which does not make me happy at all. As all of this change in Lincoln plays out I can see (in my case) where I will probably start shedding my tickets and just staying home to watch the games etc. I should add right here that when that happens the checkbook for donations closes as well. Cashless doesn't bother me that much (as long as the technology works and the people using it knows what to do), having kids running up and down the aisles and blocking my view of the field does irritate me and I won't miss that and being hit in the head with their overloaded trays/boxes carrying their product.

We will tell those kids to stay off your lawn as well. Glad you made it to the message board to tell us.

I would try it for a season before giving them up. I bet by the end of the season you won't think it's that bad.

People with paper tickets are the same ones that leave a 3 point game in the middle of the fourth quarter to beat the traffic. Electronic transfer is so easy. I can transfer a ticket from anywhere and don't have to meet up to do it.
