Painter Timeout after their go-ahead 3

Did anyone else think this was a really bad tactical decision by Painter? We were out of timeouts and he basically gave us a free one to set up our last play. Very curious decision.

I could be wrong, but wasn't spencer not on the court before that timeout?

Allowed Spencer to sub. Also gave him time to draw something up defensively, so i can see some of his rationale.

In hindsight it looks like a fatal mistake by allowing Cam back on the floor.
