Moved to the Seattle area earlier this year and went with the family to the PAC-12 women's championship game tonight. Looked like Oregon State was going to run away with it but UCLA came back to within striking distance after being down by 30+. Decent crowd but probably would have been better if UW made it to the final - they almost knocked off OSU but lost by 2 in the semis after beating Stanford. Was looking at the OSU roster and was surprised to see that 9 of their players were 6 feet or more - a lot height which they used to their advantage out rebounding UCLA by a 2 to 1 margin. Ruth Hamblin was pretty impressive in that their guards were able to get it inside to her when they got in trouble for some easy layups. Tara Vandeveer was honored at halftime as PAC-12 coach of the century - it was the 100th year for the conference. Looks like the PAC-12 tourney will be in Seattle through 2019 so looking forward to going again. With all the talk about Vivian and nearing the "end" would give the OSU coach a look.....he's been pretty successful it seems in his 5 years there and has brought in some decent talent from Canada to Cali. Maybe Rutgers will play out here at some point - I know football is in Sept. Disappointed to have to give up Rutgers tix after 11 years.
