Took our grandson to his little league tryout/ evaluation Sat at Baseball Rebellion. Having coached a lot of little league I was very impressed with evaluation which was handled by the training staff. A couple of Dads had their sons there in line with us - they knew each other from playing college ball as one played at ECU and the other at Campbell. They were talking about the upcoming college season, specifically the UNC/ECU series and getting tickets. The ECU player said he had gone to the UNC/ NCSU scrimmage and had a chance to talk with Avent about how things were going - Avent told him the UNC pitching is as good as any he has ever seen in college - “ UNC did not even work their best pitchers hard and he said every pitcher Forbes put on the mound had pitches dancing all over the strike zone and they are going to be tough to deal with” - they went on to say Forbes is a great dude and the staff really knows how to develop their players. My grandson( he lives in Chapel Hill) and I just smiled at each other
