Will Ruud get our Linebackers better? Outside of Barry see a lot of struggle. Jo Jo not a true linebacker does look good when teams play 3 WR. I know Ruud lacks experience but was the leading tackler at Nebraska. I still see a lot of defenders going for that big hit without wrapping up. Will Tannor be a great player in the future?

I don't blame Ruud.

The system sucks.

The system is fine. You do realize that with Honas out we only have 2 scholarship ILB on the roster right?

With 2 true freshman on the way to play immediately.

Hooray!

Not that they can't play, but man that's asking a lot of our LBs...

Which is why I hate a 3-4.

We have Barry, Honas and Miller coming back. I don't think the freshmen are going to play much.

Tannor's got a lot to work on. He has good speed, but he's really struggling in pass rushing right now.

I think Rudd is only responsible for ILBs. I think we will look a lot better when we get an upgrade in talent. Id like to think by now Honas might be playing a lot were he not injured. The two ILB we have coming in will help alot in the future. But for next year we just have to hope Honas and Miller comes along. MAYBE one of the young uns are ahead of schedule but otherwise we have what we have. Rudd can teach and get guys in place to make plays (see the young missed tackle on Bush) but he cant make the tackle. THATS where it becomes more about Jimmys and Joes.

I hope we can now cool off the jojo hype for a bit. What we saw yesterday was the reason i wanted to temper expectations. Let that kid grow without making him the next Shaq Griffin. He isnt that guy and doesnt need that pressure.

We just need talent upgrades pretty much everywhere. Watching the game in person, it just felt like we took a step back all around even though we had a crazy good day vs. Illinois. The missed tackles are just insane.

It's funny how much good coaching can make your talent level look a whole lot better and poor coaching can do the opposite. I was watching the Fresno game on Friday and they have a great coach. It looked like they had talent everywhere on the field. When we played them just a couple years ago, it didn't look like they had the talent to beat a FCS team.

The cod weather had a little to do with poor tackling, but it's hard to break old habits and several of the old habits are arm tackling and taking bad angles, it's going to take a little while, plus we need debth and talent upgrade. Look at the linebackers that didn't want to work at it and transferred

People, are some just posting to post?? BE PATIENT!! Once players see the success they will be excited and come because they see the potential and what afua ride it will be. But you can't just flip a switch and make it better.
I believe, like I said months ago, we will be playing for BIG championship next year and national playoffs and championship between year 3-5.
The talent will be here. The change has happened and the corner turned. Enjoy the ride folks because it will be fun.
I want it as bad as anyone, but after nearly 20 years of frustration, we can handle a little more. Day by day .......
