I think we are beyond the first four byes...which means we are better than the last 8 in so its a good spot to be. We might be the 9th or 10th last school in. I suppose worst case we fall to first four but haven't seen a scenerio where we get knocked out unless the committee just wants to concentrate soley on the road mark

Thank you.

Follow up question: how many wins do we need in the B1G tournament to get to a 7 seed? Would love to avoid the 8/9 game with potential to face a 1 seed in the 2nd round.

Normally, I'd agree with you but if we can get way ahead of ourselves I think I'd rather see Dayton or San Diego State in the second round than any of the projected two seeds.

Gotta be at least 2. Finish the season 22-12 (13-10) in a Power 5 conference. Looks like a 7-seed to me.

We'd match up well talent wise no top 100 kids with Dayton or SD St. but they both have a strong upperclassman based rotation.

Just my opinion, but I think Maryland and Illinois officially ended the Dayton play in possibility yesterday. Even Jerry took RU off the play in line.

To land there, the committee would literally have to triple count the road record critique which isn’t likely to happen following the Purdue win because now RU is a respectable 2-2 away from home against teams not projected to be a 6 seed or better in the tourney. Palm had to realize that he could not release a bracket that put an at worst 12 loss team with wins over two 3 seeds, two 5 seeds, and a 6 seed in the play in game of his bracket without looking ridiculous. For perspective, the teams he now has in the play-in game have one win over a top 6 team COMBINED (and it happens to be Wisconsin, a team RU beat).
