Ravens are absolute trash this season, which was unexpected... I went to the message boards to commiserate with Ravens fans... Someone posted a comment in the game log during the Chiefs complete thrashing of us: "Are the guys in Purple Northwestern?"
Ouch

Kind of a compliment actually! I would think the Chiefs would bear us by way more than that!

I'm far from a Ravens fan, but to be fair, they have lost to Buffalo, Detroit and an angry Kansas City team. These are three of the elite teams in the league and all possible SuperBowl contenders. I am not shedding any tears for the Ravens. They will be in contention at the end, especially with the Bengals eliminated.

Caveat... this is subject to change if Lamar's injury is more serious

Well the lineup the Ravens had to field yesterday played a part in the disaster:
All 3 starting DL out.
Starting MLB out.
Starting OLB out.
Starting LT out.

And that was before the game even started. Then they lost 2 starting CB, and Lamar... In the 3rd Qtr they were playing 3rd and 4th string guys at a lot of positions... It was ugly...

Their goose may well be cooked. Depends on how serious the injuries are to Lamar, Wiggins, Madubuike, Travis Jones, Ronnie Stanley and Roquan Smith.

The Chargers were without Slater and Alt . Giants blitzed and hurried Herbert all game.Slater and Alt may have projected to be the best pair of tackles in the league before the season

Herbert may throw the best ball in the NFL but not when he has no protection. I think the Chargers may not be a playoff team now

Here's hoping they don't recover in time for the Texans this weekend. It's a big game for both teams.

Alt may be able to come back this season but the season-ending injury to Slater in addition has diminished Chargers pass protection though they’ve run the ball well. The Chiefs had a tough start but look better. Herbert will play better if the Chargers can stabilize their o-line- unusual for him to throw interceptions.
