It was fantastic and I had contacted Sassy Seniorita to see if she was going to be there (to make it epic) but alas she had other obligations for the weekend.

I didn’t have the chance to convey to everyone her best wishes to us all.
She had told me to give all a “group hug” from her so here is a virtual one !

It'd been a long time, since I had attended a game in-person, and this opportunity reminded me how much fun it is. The trip from LA was always a mental barrier for me, so this opportunity was a good kick in the *** to get up and do it.

Now that I've got the taste back in me, I'm already planning to take the older boy to a game next year now that he's old enough to sit still and not ruin it for me. :) I'll definitely keep everyone apprised of what I'm looking at and/or planning next year.

This was my first game at Owen Field. Caught it driving cross country from LA to Waterbury Ct with my granddaughter, sacrificing seeing the Grand Canyon on the way to make the game. My granddaughter and I left LA Thursday evening and arrived in Connecticut Wednesday eve. As a life long fan (since 1956) who caught the 1969 and 2016 Texas games as well as the Army game at Yankee stadium in 1961 being in Norman is up there with , actually surpasses, stepping into Ebbitts Field in ‘56 as a 10 year old to see Robinson , Snider, Campanella, Hodges, and all the heroes of my youth. Thanks to all who made this the sports moment of my life. Happy Thanksgiving all.
