In your world when can things return?

Is this a serious question? We are the biggest embarrassment on planet earth right now. If we had numbers like Europe or Taiwan or South Korea or Japan we'd have a right to start sports. Taiwan is playing baseball in front of packed houses because they did their job. We just said f it and we want the same results.

We? Speak for yourself, pal. Stop with the drama.
Europe? Check your facts before spouting off. Lots of European countries worse off than the US right now.
Be proud to be an American for once.

Israel's situation is unique as they are the first country who fully contained the virus using the SK method of testing and tracing (along with a stringent lockdown) who has now completely lost containment and has unchecked exponential community spread.

Trying to figure out what went wrong there but can't really find anything other than "they opened up".

They are close to herd immunity already!

Being serious, we don’t know if herd immunity will work for COVID. There’s a fair chance it wouldn’t and reinfections could occur. There’s so much we don’t know yet.

No problem. They've already got a protocol in place to disinfect the couches by burning them.

It's hard to argue Americas response has been anything other than a total disaster. Part of it is because of the administration and poor leadetship and setting awful examples.
Part of it is our citizen's stubborn nature and irrational fear of ever having anyone else tell us what to do. Some don't seem to understand the concept of a social contract where if we choose to be a part of civilized society that comes with the expectation that we do no harm to others in that society even if that means we don't always get to do what we want.
If people were less self-centered we would have had a much better response to the pandemic. But too late for that now.

Disaster? have you compared the US to other countries? Irrational fear of telling people what to do? I think people are just upset that it isn’t based on science. We all talk science but then not one person can cite science when they tell people to wear a mask where ever you go or kids are dying of kowasaki disease. Everything bad was made into headline news without a second thought then a week later the news just went away. I think people are frustrated with this.

I also think people get frustrated with being told how to live their life by sick people who should be doing whatever is possible to stay home at all costs. that would be much easier than telling 330M people to change the way they live. Like every other virus outbreak at risk people should be told to stay home and social distance.

I am just pissed NY and other northern states made the terrible decision to send covid positive patients to nursing homes. If this crucial mistake was not made deaths would be much much lower and thousands of lives would have been saved. The great news is we are seeing Florida, Arizona and Texas have higher cases like NY, NJ, Michigan and California did in the beginning but deaths are much much lower. We are seeing that kids are pretty much unaffected which is a great thing. A lot of good news coming out these days.

looking back the NCAA tournement should have been played in empty arena’s but I understand that everyone got scared because lack of information.

Practice start pushed back - 5 players, 1 staff test positive
It wasn't practice. It was voluntary workouts that coaches aren't allowed to attend or watch.

Basically weight lifting, conditioning, ball handling and shooting drills under the supervision of (most likely) the S&C Coach and someone from the training staff.
