Nando’s Peri Peri Chicken, if you are looking for something slightly better than a common fast food place, but not an expensive place either.

1789 is a top 10 dc restaurant and is in Georgetown.

I’ll echo Founding Farmers but not sure they have a Georgetown location

Bens Chili Bowl or whatever. Most overrated garbage place I've ever eaten.

Castle and Elephant or something was decent for an English pub food type place.

Ethiopian Family restaurant if you're feeling adventurous. Eat the food with the injara bread and all that.

Get a Georgetown cupcake. I get them for my wife once a month when I am in DC. Bethesda has some good restaurants as well.
My wife and daughter mentioned a cupcake but said they were too full. Chez Billy Sud was good. Tiny out of the way French place. Bagel this morning and not sure where we’ll end up for lunch after our Capitol visit. There’s supposed to be a new place my kid wants to try very close to Georgetown Law. If she has time for lunch we’ll try that.

I'm not sure of your tastes, but there is a place called Mai Tai like 2 streets over from the shopping area that has damn good food. Worth checking out.

Citrolina Italian tonight. Very good and 3 blocks or so from our hotel. Wharf seafood tomorrow. Watched some Senate confirmation votes from the gallery today. Had a private tour with 2 of Thune’s aides today. We got to go places most can’t.

Daughter gave me the thumbs down on Founding Farmers. 🤷‍♂️
Yeah, its okay but a little touristy. Le Diplomate is really popular too but it lives up to the hype. Sushi Nakazawa tops the list but can be very expensive.

I thought we were doing seafood at the wharf but we ended up at. Mexican place there that was great. Daughter said the seafood places were 150$/person and she had invited a classmate. I would have fine with that but her friend was vegan sooo…. 😕. She ate lettuce and beans. She’s vegan because of a health problem. She had no problem with us stuffing our faces with scallops and short ribs.

Thats a shame. The oysters at Hanks Oyster bar on the Wharf are great. Theyre massive too.

She talked about that but I only eat oysters once a year on Christmas Eve in my stew. Family tradition. Love scallops, clam chowder, squid etc. Just not a big oyster guy. The Mexican place was very good and different from most. Had a drink at the elevated marina bar outside the theatre down there. Fun place. Cantina Bambina I think.
