When I was in school history was taught about the ciil war. Now we teach black heritage classes, OK. But now we have riots to remove Southern statues for southern soldiers from the civil war. Why do we have to choose both are our history.

Not traitors but a part of history. You don't have to remove the statues period but rather from places of honor. Soldiers from southern states were traitors to the US so they don't deserve to be honored. But OTOH all history should be remembered.
Right or wrong it happenedNot traitors but a part of history.

Don't worry, the "traitor" dumbasses forget that the US started as a VOLUNTARY association of separate States.
But it was no longer voluntary in 1861, although even if it was that would still make the southern states traitors.
I don't think soldiers from southern states meet the definition of traitors unless they defected after secession. I understand your sentiment and am more than willing to be corrected. If they are traitors, can we remove all Democrats? ticYou don't have to remove the statues period but rather from places of honor. Honestly, why do people argue this? The freaking south SECEDED FROM THE COUNTRY!!! So we're going to try to split hairs and say that the soldiers fighting for the south weren't traitors because by the time they started fighting they were no longer in the US because the CSA was its own country by then? Really? Apparently you'll go to literally any lengths to justify not calling someone a traitor.
Anybody that was an American before the Civil War and then defended and/or supported the CSA during the Civil War is a traitor to the USA. Period. This is so obvious that I can't believe people actually argue against it.
Op2 is from the "might makes right" school. He's not going to like it if him and his Antifa brethren keep up their assault on peaceful protesters .
They don't require monuments and glorification to teach history. Especially losers on the wrong side of history.Right or wrong it happened
Are you pointing to their secession from Mexico or their inclusion in secession of southern state from the Union. Perhaps you're referring to their modern weak *** efforts to secede which have been easily voted down by Republicans.
