Per Zagoria, ace recruiter Barry "Slice" Rohrssen is leaving St. John's. Big blow to Mullin and the Johnnies

WOW...that is unexpected....

If we get a staff shake up anytime soon...(which I hope not)....he would be my first call to sign on as an assistant

So he's leaving without a new destination?

That's, um....curious.

A head coach wants the majority of the power of what goes on and then the assistant(recruiter) feels like he has no power after recruiting is done. Make sense.

The Slice situation certainly hurts St. John's. There have been rumors going back many months that there was friction between Slice and another assistant - Matty A. I chalked it up to typical nonsense that you hear about all the time. I was obviously dead wrong. When one considers how close Mullin and Slice have been it is a stunning development. I suspect Slice will have numerous offers to choose from even if he waits a season.

Reading the thread's title I thought this may be related to the mixed martial artist who passed this week.

Understandable. Rohrssen wants to be King. And then there's Kimbo Slice, MMA. lol
Don't get your lol over someone who died .
Understand how Twister thought it might be about Kimbo Slice, but hard to figure out how your lol fits.
