Dead at 65. He had been battling health problems for well over a decade most notably throat cancer. For a period of time he was the IT actor in Hollywood taking turns as Batman and Jim Morrison.

method actors like him get that bad rep most often.. if they play a bastard they are going to be a bastard during that whole production.

But they keep getting hired.. gee.. I wonder why.. I think it is because they are good actors committed to their craft. And those that want it to be all loosey-goosey cannot handle it.

I knew every line of Top Secret at some point. RIP Val.
