I've loved that guy ever since I heard an interview with him on NPR about 20 years ago. He was a tough son-of-a-gun from Brooklyn.

Ha ha, my first Neil Sedaka experience was hearing "Laughter in the Rain." I had no idea who he was at the time (I was a dumb kid who had recently discovered that John Lennon and Ringo Starr had once been in a band together). Clueless as I was, however, my perky ears did notice that the background singers in "Love Will Keep us Together" sang "Sedaka is Back!" one time near the end of that monster hit.

RIP Mr. Sedaka, you are one of the great ones...
