Your favorite whipping boy from last year is playing great at Bryant. Averaging 17 points, 6 rebounds , 4 assists and shooting 41% from 3. Happy he found the correct level to play at for his 5th year.
We wanted him to transfer and he has had more success doing so than he would have here. That doesn't make him anyone's whipping boy. Just makes us informed. It was obviously the right sentiment.Your favorite whipping boy from last year is playing great at Bryant. Averaging 17 points, 6 rebounds , 4 assists and shooting 41% from 3. I'm really happy for him. But he was NOT our "favorite whipping boy." He just wasn't B1G ready.Your favorite whipping boy from last year is playing great at Bryant. Averaging 17 points, 6 rebounds , 4 assists and shooting 41% from 3. Happy he found the correct level to play at for his 5th year.
Not sure where you get the “unanimous recognition for being a supportive / good teammate.” He appeared completely checked out and you never saw him in any postgame celebrations with his teammates all season. Not sure what the OP is talking about re “whipping boy”
while most agreed he probably wasn’t Big10 caliber, many actually questioned the degree to which he was put in the doghouse AND he received basically unanimous recognition for being a good/ supportive teammate on the bench.
thus i suspect what you’ll see here is post after post expressing comments similar to the one above - good for him
I see no reason why a Rutgers fan wouldn’t wish him well

That’s not the case at all. He was constantly supporting teammates and celebrating. Not sure where you get the “unanimous recognition for being a supportive / good teammate.” He appeared completely checked out and you never saw him in any postgame celebrations with his teammates all season.
Happy he is doing well!Peter Kiss, Bryant- A true Player of the Year candidate, the Rutgers-transfer has been everything Bulldogs fans had hoped for. The 6'5" senior is averaging 17.7p/5.5r/3.3a, and has a ridiculous 113.9 O-rating on 23.4% usage (the best O-Rating of any player in the league with a usage rate north of 22%). Kiss is perhaps the most well-rounded offensive player in the conference; He can get downhill and finish at the rim, he can knock down the three (42.5%), and he'll find the open guy.
It's a big stretchNot a stretch for me to envision situations where he could have helped us this year. Was athletic and flashed some offensive skills. He certainly did not strike me as lacking confidence either. However it was clear that for whatever reason he was not going to play after a certain point last year so happy he found a home and is doing well.
The kid never bad mouthed anyone from Rutgers in the press so Kiss was a good player but not a player whom was making a difference. Wish him only the best in his possibly final season at Bryant. Not sure what the OP is talking about re “whipping boy”

The issue we have is too many guards that aren't consistent scorers.Happy for the kid. It’s obviously lesser competition but have him the chance to shine like a couple of recent football players. If he stayed he would be fighting for minutes though he may have found a role with his 3 point shooting.
The issue we have is too many guards who can score. We lack that bigger rebounding guy who bangs and sacrifices alongside the Center. RHJ is rebounding well but all of that inside pounding wears on you and he’s logging many minutes down there. Mulcahey picks up that spot when RHJ is sitting. Very unselfish team players.
I agree, but we have a coachKiss could have been very functional here - a Montez drive in to the lane and a kick out to the perimeter for an open three.
Not our biggest issue but don’t see him changing that at this level. The issue we have is too many guards that aren't consistent scorers.
Yikes. Hell no. He’s playing at the level he belongs.Peter Kiss went for 33 in Bryant’s win over Sacred Heart today. Averaging 22.7 PPG in his last three games. He’s having one hell of a year. Another guy I wish we still had.
maybe what's neededOh no, not this again.—What’s next, we would have won today if Rettig played?
