OT: Nashville Lyft & Uber

Planning on a weekend Nashville trip in the next 2-3 months. We all know that Downtown/West End Nashville hotel rates are sky high on weekends.

But what’s the Uber & Lyft setup like nowadays? Is it like restaurant help in that there are lower numbers than before to the point of nonexistence?

I don’t think you’ll have any issues. Unless it’s changed in the last few weeks, you’ll need masks though.

My experience has been that they’re driving less and charging more. But I’m sure someone with be by with their own version of reality soon.

I’m more than a little afraid of that.

Earlier this spring, I was at a Billy Strings show at Ladd-Peebles in Mobile. A lot of folks who attended got nasty surprises when there was little Uber and Lyft availability.

I’m planning on attending a couple events— one of which I know will likely be fairly big attendance-wise downtown so I’m also looking at parking garages even though I hate driving at nighttime especially in Nashville.

Dinner time on the weekends- they will be hard to find

Not good. I’m not so much concerned about dinner time as I am later at night especially since one of the events will have a lot of folks attending. I may go the garage route.

We went Memorial Day Weekend, no issues. Only one that was semi expensive was late night/early morning from downtown/Broadway area. Never waited more than usual at any time. Rarely needed mask, but if they had theirs on we wore ours.

Unless you’re getting buzzed, driving is great downtown depending on where you’re going. The convention center has a great garage if you’re on that side of SoBro.
