Okay this ending was nuts and there was more bad calls than at a basketball game in Cameron. Given all the home court calls the Devils get there, it's kind of karma that they get like 3 bad calls on the final play in a loss

It reminded me of the famous "forward lateral" that went uncalled on the blocked punt here in '96 against Miami.

Miami has had a lot of weird calls go it's way over the years in crucial situations. I've often wondered if money from the Peruvian powder influences the refs when it comes to the Ewe? After all, it's what modern day South Florida was built on.

What I don't understand is why only one camera view was shown during that play. You would think another view might have shown clearly whether the UM player's knee was down. (It looked like it was to me. )

Lgm!

The camera angle is a very good point. The game was on ESPN something, so did every other camera man just decide "Let's get packed up. No need to film this play! We've got a plane to catch!"?

Then afterwards realize "let's get some of Cutliffes reaction and pan the stands for a stunned Duke fan."

A lot of cameramen and the guys in the truck aren't sports saavy. They get suckered by misdirection and trickery the same way players do. When you were playing sports in HS, they were hanging out in the A/V lab. A confusing play like last night? Between looking for good replay video for the telecast and assisting the officials on that last play, the guys in the truck were probably pulling their hair out under the pressure.

Either way, it's on the replay official in the booth. All he had to do was not get impatient and do his job, even if it took longer than usual.

"All he had to do was not get impatient and do his job". It took 9 minutes for that replay, and the ref went back to the headphones a second time. They had plenty of time.
