Anyone familiar with the city? I've got 48 hours there two weeks from now. Bought a ticket to Manchester United game vs Aston Villa, but wondering if anyone knows the city and had any recommendations on things to do, places to eat, etc.
Awful as in boring or awful as in dirty/unsafe?Pretty awful city tbh
Safe city but small and pretty boring honestly. When people visit the UK Manchester usually isn't towards the top of the list unless they're going for the football.Awful as in boring or awful as in dirty/unsafe?
Manchests. ER? I have always preferred Girlschests. Don't think that I am alone in this.I’m boggled that Aston Villa is in 6th place and miles better than Man I.
Let us state the clear fact.. that the Manchester area has change quite a bit over the past decade. Nothing compared to Birmingham but enough to notice. For bad or good depends on your outlook on the future of things. Not being political but it is what it is and I have quite a few associates that complain to me quite often.Awful as in boring or awful as in dirty/unsafe?
Yeah this was my observation as well. Better to spend most of your time in London or pick some villages around the country to stay in, then take the train up on matchday or the day before.Nearing the end of my trip. Fairly unimpressed with the city. Really enjoyed the Manchester United game and the fans were very impressive considering the state of the team. Old Trafford worth seeing a game at if you find yourself in the area.
Some pretty good food but city lacks any must see things as far as I can tell and it lacks green space. It's not awful (although the weather has been) but there's no real compelling reason to spend too much time here either.
Awful as in non descript and boring. Unless you are huge soccer fan there is no real reason to go there. Dreary and dull.Awful as in boring or awful as in dirty/unsafe?
