I have some NordicTrack quarter zips that is strictly a dri-fit material. I like it because it breathes and covers my arms when it gets colder. Obviously, being in Texas, I'm a couple of months behind you guys in Nebraska. But I haven't broken out the quarter zips yet. They've become part of my cold weather gear. Just take off layers.

The issues are, I've lost enough weight that I want to get new quarter zips in a smaller size. NordicTrack no longer makes apparel. I liked the quality and the breathable material. Anyone have a current preference they would care to recommend?

I love Rhoback Q-zips, but I would consider them a secondary layer instead of a base layer. They are also pricey, but I love the material and quality.

Don’t wear base layer quarter zips. But Pete millar and Johnnie-O are my go to second layer options. Size down with these or you may be swimming in them

Just to be certain, I don't need these to hold heat in. I'm hot natured. I just need it to breathe and be light. Most of the year it will just be my jacket during the cold weather. I wear shorts year round.

32 degrees or whatever it’s called has worked well for me. I use them in my long distance running. I get them at Costco.
They are surprisingly great stuff. I’ve had the long John top and bottoms for at least 10 years. Wear them almost every day while working from around a week ago, until it warms up again. Not sure I’ve ever thrown any away.

Look at Kuhl Reactiv. Light and made with graphene. Think they have 1/4 zips.

...if you have a question that pertains to lycra, i'm your man!! Shaving your legs, again, hit me up!! 1/4 zips? Kiiinda not my thing... cause i'm not, you know, gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that!!!
I'm going to pass on leg shaving and the Lycra. Oooh... FLASHBACK!... I used to run in Lycra when I was in the Navy. Didn't give a **** what anyone said about that. I lived on the ship and before we're allowed to get off the ship, you had a stand and turn and face the standard (ship's flag) and request permission to go ashore. It was then that whoever was standing quarterdeck watch would give me **** for the bike shorts. I just didn't want to chafe in that Norfolk air. 😂
