OT: Local 7 year old needs stem cell transplant

I was donating platelets pretty regularly until Covid hit and the donation center I used closed down. I just did a little research on donating stem cells and found people over 60 are ineligible due to the body's production of stem cells declining as we age. Unfortunately, I'm out.

Thanks guys. I saw over 60 is a no Dan. That stinks. I hope people can make it out. It’s a freezing Saturday with nothing to do and you could save a little girl’s life. For me it’s about 25-30 min drive so I’ll go and take the family to lunch afterwards. Hope more do the same. Guess having my own 7 year old girl it hits home. I can’t imagine what the family is going through.

Very rewarding experience until they told me i couldn't anymore. Hopefully people step up and give her the best possible chance.
