What a jerk. He's asked a softball question and loses it. Then not only doesn't the statement not even mention the student radio producer, seems he didn't even apologize to the producer at all.

To do that to a student interviewer on the campus radio station ?

This may be a new low for a CBB coach at a small school like Monmouth.

If I’m the Monmouth Prez I want King Rice off the premises at the end of the season. No questions asked.

I agree, he went a little with the insult to the student. Maybe That will help prepare him if he pursues this line of work.

I think The Bar is being set really low for Outrage these days !

I agree with you on the 'outrage' point, but the broadcaster in me is really disappointed in coach Rice's language on-air...despite the dumb "how are you" question. Student run radio station notwithstanding. Be a professional.

Russ, He is not a media professional. He is a young student radio guy who may never enter the media world after school. He is donating his time for this on campus gig and deserves minimal respect from the MBB HC.

I’m sure that in the future he will improve his opening question instead of How are you.

But what about Rice terminating the interview shortly after it started? Can’t blame the student radio guy for that.

yes....and despite all the hype about Monmouth he failed to win the conference tourney both years and has not led them to the NCAA tourney despite dominating the regular season in their conference

To clarify, my "Student run radio station notwithstanding. Be a professional." comment was about Coach Rice.
