OT Jury Duty

[Captain Ron]

I started jury duty this morning.. one of the first ones called..

My number? “17” of course

[UpTheMiddlex3Punt]

Nice.

And thank you for doing jury duty. It is without a doubt the most important civic duty one can take part in.

[Dawgbite]

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Next thing you will want him to vote and pay taxes.

[MeridianDog]

Thank you for your service. I did twice. Too old (and crabby) now. I was foreman of one that sentenced a guy to two life sentences. His defense was, "Mean old Mr. Cocaine made me do it."

By the way, you could have told them there is no way you could be impartial. That if they brought the person to trial, they deserve to go to Jail for a long time. Immediate removal from the pool.

Jurors are supposedly pulled from voting records. I don't EVER recall missing a day to vote, I show up even if there's a runoff for dog catcher and vote. That said, in almost 40 years of voting, I've never been called for jury duty.
