Weird timing! What stands out to me is "will be leaving the University" sentence in the press release. Usually when it is health related the person takes a leave of absence and maintains status with the University. Something does not add up.

There are certain jobs that keep getting mentioned for top assistant coaches like Brandin Knight 4 to 5 years ago and it's a dead-end job, with little to no hope and few resources. Not every HC job is a good opportunity.

I hope Jay Young is fine and maybe he reboots for the next 6 months and can rejoin Pike and the team in a behind the scenes role like Steve Hayn.

When you are at Fairfield and schools like Georgetown or Seton Hall target your best player like Supreme Cook, how are you supposed to compete with Georgetown for NIL, if you are at a MAAC school like Fairfield??? You might see more HCs asking for double the money to take these jobs.

Oof. Really poor judgement from the assistant. Get hookers on your own time if that’s your thing, not a work a trip

Dougher is a Rutgers guy too, no? Hmm. Let’s pick the star Ledger headline
Takes a special kind of d-bag to blow up your own career and then go scorched earth and blow up your bosses as well. Could have walked away quietly and been able to get onto someone else's staff. Now he is done! Will never coach again.

i cant imagine dougher doing that to jay. Dougher and Jay are tight. i believe jay recruited dougher to stony brook. he was the first guy jay took when he left.

Yep

Sounds like an Eric Murdock type situation.

A lot depends on the details.

One day people will stop blindly believing anonymous Twitter accounts
This. Pikiell, Young, Dougher are joined at the hip. None would do anything to harm the other. I’m not privy to all the details, but something took place in Costa Rica and neither Jay or Bryan were part of any inappropriate behavior. That’s factual.
