This guy has currently shot up the draft boards and is a top five pick. Paging @Russ Wood, how did he completely go unnoticed? I could understand if he was a senior who got better over a four year period. But he’s a sophomore who played some AAU basketball with Zion Williamson. Do you know anything about how everyone missed him

Someone asked me about him on Wednesday which made me dig up notes from the two times I watched his travel team play and all I wrote down about him was "intriguing MM level guard." As it turns out, other than South Carolina, all of his offers were from MM & LM programs so he wasn't completely unnoticed.
So, I don't know how everyone miss evaluated him. Sometimes kids have a lot of heart and desire, kinda like Juan Dixon at Maryland he wasn't heavily recruited), and that can go unnoticed.
He must be a very intelligent kid because he's from South Carolina and despite the Gamecocks offering him he chose Murray State. Clearly he picked the right place.
Btw, at first glance I thought this thread was about Jorah Mormont which was confusing.
