That one was also a bit different in that his actions were not part of the actual event (unlike the track assault) and there were some contributing circumstances to what he did, namely seeing his father involved in a fracas (while confronting spectators allegedly saying pretty bad things about his wife).

Welllll...while not during the actual competition, the fracas occurred during an athletic event Knox competed in and was attending as a representative of his school. Plus, he (reportedly?) assaulted a minor. And what @koleszar said regarding the family not being around there who Knox claimed he was defending (which doesn't matter anyway). My beef isn't with NJSIAA or the courts, it's SJV who should have done right and shut Know down for his actions.I agree the kid Knox should not have been allowed to continue, but that was the court that ruled in his favor, not the NJSIAA.
