This is a first. Not sure how you get a skull fracture from a baton but X-rays don’t lie

So weird- it looks to be 100% on purpose but it also seems like the girl who did it, had instant remorse...

Yikes! Was the baton filled with cement? She clearly cocked her arm to strike the runner in the head and attempted another strike but realized she was out of reach.

I bet if she were a three time state champ and went to St. John Vianney, she wouldn't get suspended and would be allowed to compete for a fourth title.

I agree the kid Knox should not have been allowed to continue, but that was the court that ruled in his favor, not the NJSIAA.

That one was also a bit different in that his actions were not part of the actual event (unlike the track assault) and there were some contributing circumstances to what he did, namely seeing his father involved in a fracas (while confronting spectators allegedly saying pretty bad things about his wife).

Just to get some facts straight. The whole Knox interview of his defense of his actions holds no water.

His mother and sister were not in the stands when Mr. Knox senior went down his section in his wife beater and into the next section to assault the spectators. Then Mr. Knox senior was exiting the stands when Knox Jr. ran up to a different part of the stands to assault a minor. So, they were neither protecting said, wife/mom and sister nor was Junior going to protect his father.

I didn't hear the interview and honestly only read a little about it the whole thing. I heard from two people who were there. One said the opposing teams fans were riding the SJV kid that just lost when the Knox dad got up and went over to confront them. The other person I was sitting in a different location said things were being said to wife/mother.

To be straight, his dad should not have gone over, but his reputation precedes him but I will say this, IF what I heard was being said about the wife is accurate, I understand. If those things were being said about my wife, I would too.

The kid shouldn't have been anywhere near the situation.

Welllll...while not during the actual competition, the fracas occurred during an athletic event Knox competed in and was attending as a representative of his school. Plus, he (reportedly?) assaulted a minor. And what @koleszar said regarding the family not being around there who Knox claimed he was defending (which doesn't matter anyway). My beef isn't with NJSIAA or the courts, it's SJV who should have done right and shut Know down for his actions.
