From what it sounds like, they are sort of sick of him.
My guess...they will try to work something out so they don't have to fire him...but so that he is still gone.

He’s gone after this year, it’s just whether they do it Sunday or after Thanksgiving. They may give him the courtesy to finish out the season. They’re probably going 3-9 at best regardless.
Eventually the game passes you by. In this case it’s more of his inability/unwillingness to adapt to the current environment.
For some reason I thought Rhule tried getting him to switch over last minute, but Flores stayed tight with Okie St.

25 of 40 for 214 yards. 10 carries for 56 yards. 1 catch for 4 yards. Stepped up in the pocket well and didn’t let himself get sacked. Second game after two years on the shelf. It’s going to take a few games for things to click. Missed on a few throws, but a number of incompletions were throwing the ball away when he needed to. He isn’t their problem. Kid is going to have a nice career. I doubt it will be at OK State, however. He graduates in December.

Flores is in a terrible situation that has little to do with his own talent. FWIW, Iowa’s and Rutgers’ QBs both looked better than Dylannlast night. Both threw dimes and can run.
Nobody here has been pining for Flores since Raiola arrived on campus. But a healthy Flores would have still looked pretty good during the 3-headed-QB season of Sims, Haarberg and Chubba.
People wanted Flores because our QB situation was a train wreck.
Dylan is obviously a good QB. The question still on the table is if he is a great QB. His lack of mobility is a problem. His long ball also needs work. Great QB with short to intermediate passes. Today he needs to run for some first downs and hit a couple of long balls. We need big plays to win this game. Dinking and dunking won’t cut it today.
Yeah, that's what I heard too. But in fairness, without T. Boone's money, they were really no part of any kind of competitive program anyway. So, now that he's dead, they're basically just back to where they should be.

I watched a bit of that game last night... his receivers dropped a TON of balls and every time something went right they got a flag that pulled them back... the kid wasn't' afraid to take off and run... he was scrappy, his support cast let him down big time in the bit that I watched anyway
