My favorite was the first season of West World on HBO. It declined somewhat after that. GoT was fantastic, too. Breaking Bad, as well

All of the mentioned series were great. “Deadwood” should also be mentioned somewhere in this discussion but cancelled much too soon. Its writing was brilliant even if f bombs were excessive.🤣Costly to make supposedly.

If we are going by regular TV, which is what I assume:
MASH
Hill Street Blues
Seinfeld
Dallas
Quincy, ME
Friends
Threes Company

With cable, add:
Game of Thrones
Sopranos
Band of Brothers

Nicely done, but despise friends. Need to watch game of thrones

Dukes of Hazard as a kid. Seeing Daisy Duke in her Daisy Dukes every boy hit puberty.😍
Crazy to think that there were a lot of parents "against" Dukes of Hazard and then later even more that were against The Simpsons.

Compared to what you see on TV today, both those shows are very tame.

I do enjoy watching Jessica Fletcher crack the case on Murder She Wrote. The episode I fell asleep to last night had Courtney Cox as Jessica’s niece for those Friends fans wanting to cross over.

NBC Murder Mystery series was a good one for me in the 70s - rotated between McCloud, Columbo, and McMillan and Wife. McCloud and Columbo rocked.

Entourage deserves a mention. Not sure I’d take it 1, but it’s good enough to be in this thread. Classic feel good “for the boys” show

Another honorable mention: Mad men. Boring for some. Fascinating time period character study

Dallas is probably the only series my wife and I could watch together in our 45 years of marriage. Not sure I would watch it today because I couldn’t get in to Yellowstone. It’s weird because I’m a big Costner fan, love Montana and love western movies.

1923 is much better than Yellowstone

I didn’t anticipate the first obvious off season thread to be posted on January 3rd. At this rate it will be a long time until the spring game.

I rewatched Entourage a few years ago and it was still awesome. I loved it.

I had high hopes for the movie and it was "okay" I think they just had a hard time making a movie out of what was essentially a sticom about dudes trying to **** and get drunk.

Man Men was great, I read some articles about it and the drinking/smoking and people from that time period that worked in those offices said that if anything the drinking at the offices was NOT realistic because they did not drink enough! I found that amazing.

The Simpsons has been on the air since December 1989.

Dam I’m old.
