Definitely respect their season; but like many have questioned the strength of their schedule. They were on track to get a #1 seed. With loss to BYU, that's not going to happen.

Probably better for them to not get a one. Last time that happened they got knocked out in the first weekend. They can surely make an elite 8 run as a 2.

Right. I am not sure there is much difference to being 2 seed versus a 1 seed. I guess it's a prestige thing?

its better that they lost, there really isnt much difference between a 1 and the 2...the loss will give them something to prove if they do not get a 1, still not convinced that they will not get a 1, it still could happen

Before they lost, the PAC12 didn't have #1 seed, though many people think PAC-12 is really strong.

I agree-----won at Arizona----- beat Florida---beat St Mary's and BYU on the road who are both good teams.

If they win through their tourney I could see them as a 1 seed.

So close, but it's hard to remain undefeated for the whole year for any school.
But losing last regular game of season must sting a bunch.

I don't care who they play or what conference they are in. They win every damned year and always do it the right way.

UCLA, Arizona and Oregon are all capable of winning it all.
UCLA can't guard anybody. A mid-major with a disciplined half court offense and good shooters who know how to play the game will knock them off. Arizona and Oregon are a different story. They defend to the death, particularly Arizona.

And as good a coach as Pike is (and I really do think he is), if '18 class doesn't get a lot better he won't see 2019 at Rutgers. You'll see a big name coach (and maybe AD) with the $$$ influx from the B1G.

That's about as long as Littlepage got, and he was an atrocious basketball coach.

Does it give BYU a chance to sneak in the tourney?

absolutely not...they have no other wins of note besides Gonzaga. Even a win over St Mary's in the WCC semis to meet Gonzaga in the finals will not do it.

1-4 vs top 50
5-6 vs top 100 but those others wins are only Princeton, Cal-Bakersfield and San Fransisco 2x

maybe if they did not have a whopping 4 losses to schools plus 140....Santa Clara, Utah Valley St, San Diego and Pepperdine...those are the killers

Especially when you're up by 16 in the first half and BYU can't buy a basket from 3. Then you lose by 7 ! Bitter pill to swallow, but they'll recover. Couldn't have played any worse in the last 1:45 with 3 TOs.

1 seed, 2 seed? The only certainty is that Duke will play on the east coast.

Please. Look at their stats for the past eight games. They have beaten Oregon, Arizona and Kentucky this year. Two of them on the road. BTW, UCLA torched Zona on Saturday. So much for defending to the death.

They scored all of 77 points. Move over, Showtime.
