I'm looking for a place that makes real good Fried chicken to take my mom to. She makes a killer chicken herself. Her abs my dad use to go to. Genes chicken in schulyer. She gets talking about it asks me why no one does a good job on chicken anymore. She does enjoy her kfc from time to time. Thanks in advance

Remember being on the road as a trucker and stopped at that place and blown away that a pizza place had such good fried chicken.

At least I THINK that was the place lol. They had a buffet right??

When I Lived in Gretna I would drive up to North Omaha to get Chicken from "Time Out" for special family events like birthdays or other celebrations... EXCELLENT Chicken!

Wish I had a place like that down here in Fort Worth!!! I could go for some good Fried Chicken!!!

I like Popeye's over KFC in Lincoln, although I've had KFC in other towns where it was great.

Pizza Ranch does have good fried chicken. Much better than their pizza.

The last time I ate at Lee's Chicken it was great, maybe 2-3 years ago. I know some say it's not the same as it used to be but I have friends that go regularly and they love it so I guess I need to go there more often. It sure is a great trip down memory lane, that's for sure.

As far as Pizza Places with Fried Chicken goes. Valentino's is actually pretty good, better than KFC.

I heard good things about Big Mama's in North O. Alpine inn is good. Publix stores down south are good.

think it's a big part of the chicken being raised in our country. Tyson and 2 others maybe?

Time out is good. Pizza Ranch is also good.

How about the Alpine Inn? You might see their pet raccoons

Thanks for the responses. I have been wanting to try alpine inn for a while. I'll have to take my mom. Earn some favorite son points.

Krispy Krunchy Chicken. Used to have them in a couple of Bosselmans Pump and Pantry's in Grand Island. They replaced them with Quiznos. The chicken was good, a little Cajun flavor, juicy and huge pieces. A little pricey but a lot of chicken for the cost.

39 million years ago i would stop at a place called "trackside lounge" ? on my way to Aksarben. i think that was the name of it.

Any way i would get a half chicken fried and it would scald your face when you eat it if you werent careful ---very good fried chicken.

Trackside is still there and still good.
Laugh if you must, but some of the best chicken I've ever had is at the Valentino's in Nebraska City

I was very surprised when I had chicken from Bucks bar before you make it to Yutan last Labor Day weekend.Best chicken I had in 10 years..

Big Mama’s, Timeout, and I can’t believe no one has mentioned Dave’s Hot chicken on Saddle Creek. They do it differently than everywhere else and it is amazing
