I'm going with the B-17 Flying Fortress. Loved it ever since I was a kid. My father was in the Army Air Corps on the tail end of WWII and later the Air Force when he was part of the Berlin Arilift. Anyone else love aircraft? I remember the Blue Angels flying out of Offutt as a kid. Then later the B-52's out of Carswell in Fort Worth. I wish I could have seen the B-17 in the air. A little before my time. Still my favorite.

I've seen the Osprey (V22) fly out of Mountain Creek here in DFW.

I love the B 17 but I’m going with the B 24 liberator, my dad and I went to a reunion at the fairmont Nebraska they had a army air corps field there during ww2, anyway they had a reunion in 1990 and they flew in a B 24 with a P 51 mustang escorting it. Wish I could have gotten that picture but we We’re driving in on highway 81 going north out of Geneva, now that was a sight to remember

F-22 raptor. They fascinate me. Also love the P-51. The old Rolls Royce engines in the P-51 sounds amazing!

Northrop F5. When I was stationed on Okinawa they would come in from Clark AB Philippines. They were from an aggressor squadron and had some really neat Soviet style camouflage paint jobs.

The Spruce Goose is part of the collection at the Evergreen Air and Space Museum in McMinnville, OR. You can go on board the plane. They also have an SR-71 Blackbird -- my favorite.

That's the plane my grandfather's unit flew. He was with 2 different units. One was a heavy bombardment group and then he finished with unit that did gliders pulled by the B-17

Some great planes that have already been brought up, B-17, B-24, P-51, etc... One of my favorite WWII planes is the P-38 Lightning. A great multipurpose plane. Going back further in time, two favorites are the Sopwith Camel & Fokker Dr.I.

Was stationed at Barksdale, Offut, and Carswell growing up. My Dad flew the B-52 and the B-58, always loved the look of the B-58. Unfortunately, it was an “accident waiting to happen”.

P51 and A10. The A10s take more abuse than members of Hillary Clinton's staff and keep on flying!

Hope they reverse the decision again. Not convinced that they have suitable replacement. Your thoughts??

It scheduled to extend into 2040. We're currently upgrading the cockpit to match a lot of the capabilites of its counterparts. All are being fitted with new wings. Alot of money going into that aircraft.

The ICON A5 is awesome. I’ve been thinking about buying it for a little while now. If it comes to military planes, you can’t go wrong with a British Aerospace Harrier II, Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit, Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, or a Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II.

I've worked on a lot of the parts for that program... funny thing is that there is no way anyone held the tolerances that were on the prints back in the day when the planes were new... fast forward to now and we can make them to print and now the parts don't fit as they're way to tight. Have had to work through getting variances accepted and I know guys like yourself have had to "manipulate" some of them to make them work! LOL!

If I'm an infantryman, an A-10 overhead all day.

If I'm a Nebraska fan, a MetLife or Goodyear blimp overhead. Means the team is finally winning again.
